THE 1ST WEEK OF 2023!



Every year since I became a wife, I will be the busiest with plans during New Year as it has been my husband's birthday month since 1993. My Capricorn husband turned 30 this year! Can you imagine how hard it was to hump my brain out to find ideas to make him happy on his birthday? He has made it clear that he wants a very chill and relaxed birthday celebration. The whole idea of Penang is a secret. He thought we are going away for a week to Alor Setar, his hometown. But I arranged a detour to Penang for a night to pamper him with a lovely stay in the colonial-ish hotel named Eastern & Oriental. I've heard of this place for quite some time ago, and finally, manage to make a reservation one month before his birthday. 


Eastern & Oriental team management has been the greatest in helping me with a birthday cake. I sent an email for the special request, of course, I intend to pay. But the cake turns out to be complimentary. And the cake! The E&O team served a delicious chocolate cake and I did not expect the taste to be really good! As a chocolate cake fan, I approve. I gave 5 stars for the special request services. The next idea I have is to give my husband a romantic floral bubble bath. I have everything planned out. The flower bath spa set. A cute duck bath bomb and a lavender bubble bath bomb. Bought it online 2 weeks before the holiday. Turns out they have a problem with the shipment and the product did not safely arrive at my doorstep on time. Lush bath bomb to the rescue! I dragged my husband to Sunway Pyramid Mall and bought a Christmas flavor bubble bar from Lush on the very 1st day of January.  I guess it's not our luck to try on the floral bath spa yet. However, I still manage to prepare a romantic bubble bath with roses, as I ordered the rose petals from a different shop. With me, everything is online. Unless the sellers decided not to ship on time. 


So I chose the Victory Annexe wing. They have another 'wing' which is called Heritage. Will definitely stay there during our next visit. So my husband loved the hotel and the surprises. I take it as a successful surprise birthday plan. And he enjoyed the romantic bubble bath with roses. He was loving the pools and the breakfast in the hotel. Everything was beautiful, calm, and relaxing. My husband was having his great, sweet times in Penang with the Nasi Kandar Deen Maju too. Delicious! I take the food as the highlight of his Penang trips. Already planning on the next trip, that man. 


With that being said, the 1st week of 2023 has been great for us. Planning for our next romantic floral bubble bath already! Happy Birthday, Love.

A mistake people should do in life.

Be brave. All you need in this world is bravery. Not to fight other people with swords and guns. But brave to make a life decision. Brave to make that one small step. Brave to take chances and risks. Be brave. You do not need a pretty face. You do not need a solid, rocking body. All you need is bravery. Because brave can leads you to something unimaginable. So if you need something to reclaim back your lost life, just be brave. It's challenging, and at times it can fail you too. But brave will never stop until it gets to the end point. It will never stop until it brings you to the top of the mountain and even beyond. So do yourself one favor. Do this mistake and see where life will bring you. Because after all, you only have this one life.
